This game is awesome! Too bad my PC is not that good to enjoy it at the fullest. It is a RPG similar to Knights of the old republic where you control a character, interract with other non player characters and do your stuff Razz It's a really good game.

Sound interesting. So, I assume you can make decisions that change your character's path?

Yes you can, every action affects what will happen in the future, and the expantion 'awakening' will be affected by what you did i nthe last game if you choose to use the same characters.

Question.... Can you turn the Blood and Gore levels down? I am thinking of getting it when I get my new computer, however, Knowing that there are youngsters around, I would rather have Gore and blood to be right off... if you know what I mean...

Just turn the graphics setting down one step. It doesnt have much effect on the actualy detail, it just turns blood and gore off.

It's not a particularly gory game anyway, and the combat, fun as it is, isn't exactly realistic. That said, your character does get quite doused in blood after any melee combat. (Quite inexplicably!)

Not particularly gory? You can chop someones head of and watch the blood spurt, wait, scratch that, explode from an enemies head. If that ain't gory I dunno what is.

I have a question about Awakening. I've played it but I did rush it a bit. Is there romance possibilities in it?

Really? That is a huge flaw in the game! I mean, that's a large part of Origins to be fair. Other than that its a really good game. They made big improvements in the gameplay I think.

Dragon Age 2 reintroduces it but at the cost of the entire country seemign to be made of about 6 rooms.

Dragon Age 2 looks epic.

But I suppose its understandable that the surroundings change little. Unlike the Elders Scrolls, Dragon has far less areas to explore. It focuses more on the dialogue, gameplay and storyline.

In hundered of rooms, etc you see the same ones repeated about 70+ times.

Dragon Age@Originas has thousands of rooms.

Well that is a bit lazy of the programmers!

There is quite a lack of exploration in Dragon Age though.

Yeah, the need for fast-travelling from place to place is one of Dragon Age's few drawbacks, one that doesn't really improve in DA2. Free-roaming is quite an integral part of an RPG in my book.

Yeah definitely. Its a massive part of why I buy RPG. Dragon Age just gets away with it because of the sheer level of awesomeness in other ways (Sten, all the gore, Desire demon, etc.)

Yeah Lelianna's awesome too, but Sten is just a badass. Lelianna does kick ass to be fair though!

I remember once I was fighting loads of darkspawn and an ogre ran right past me to attack Leliana. After Sten, my dog and I had finished off the darkspawn I turned around to help out my "poor fragile ranger" and found her performing the slo-mo ogre scripted kill. Sten is by far my favourite party member but you have to hand it to Leliana!

Haha that's epic! Sometimes Lelianna dies like straight away for me and sometimes she does some major damage.

She only dies quick for me when my otherwise-melee orientated party charges at the enemies in front of us, leaving Leliana on her own to deal with anything that attacks from behind. I probably should keep a better eye on her.

Leliana is by far the most awesome person in the party, I make a point of romancing her every bloody time I play the game. Just because she's so awesome. Sten is cool as well, but Leliana bests him in awesomeness by far, at least in my opinion.
